DESTROY FEAR WITH FAITH
By Pastor Dorsey E. Marshall Jr.
"And the Lord appeared to him the same night and said,
I am the God of Abraham, your father. Fear not,
for I am with you and will favor you with blessings
and multiply your descendants for the sake of My servant, Abraham."
Genesis 26:24
Fear is a weapon that satan uses to destroy people's lives, destinies, and God's plan in their lives. When fear comes in, there's no faith; where faith is, there's no fear. God wants us to be people of faith . . . "The just shall live by faith." We can't be bound by fear, because it draws every negative thing to us. When we operate in faith, we bring God on the scene of our lives. Our enemy, the devil, wants to rob us of our abilities to be witnesses for the Lord.
Fear is not an emotional dysfunction. It is a spiritual enemy sent to steal, kill, and destroy, to render us helpless, and to stop us in our tracks. It's time for Christians to stop being dancing partners with fear. It is not a part of our nature. We need to make up our minds that nothing is going to stop us from being and receiving all that God has for us. We need to make up our minds to deal with the "spirit of fear," today. We cannot serve God in fear.
When you begin to walk by faith and not by sight, you are moving forward. You have a greater advantage to accomplish more in your life, because you have God on your side. God is for you; who can be against you? The Lord has spoken peace into your life. Receive it. Walk in the peace of God. Know that God has your back in every situation. "There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear: because fear hath torment. He that fears is not made perfect in love." 1 John 4:18.
Fear will make you a slave. Break free from it by owning your own life, by meditating and speaking God's Word over your life, your family, your finances, your health, and over your job. Let prayer and confession become a daily lifestyle. Be encouraged as you stand in your God-given authority. Stand strong, be of good courage, dismiss any negative thought, and know that you are victorious.
LET US PRAY: "Father, I receive Your anointing, the burden-removing, yoke-destroying power of God upon my life, so that I can be the person You have called me to be. I resist the spirit of fear, In Jesus' Name. Amen!
"Many of us crucify ourselves between two thieves-regret for the past and fear of the future."
