REJECTION

REJECTION

By Pastor Dorsey E. Marshall Jr.

"All that the Father gives me shall come to me;
and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out."
John 6:37

      Are you in trouble? Run to the Father; He will never turn you away. There are things that happen in His presence that just don't happen anywhere else on the planet. When you get in His presence you begin to think differently, talk differently, and your best begins to shine. And, you become a different you. Don't put it off another moment. Come to God, and let Him fill you with the glory of His presence, and watch the changes that will take place in your life.

        One of people's greatest fears is the fear of rejection. Rejection comes in many forms. You want to sell your car, but it has to be inspected. If it doesn't pass the inspection, you'll get a sticker on your car that says, "Rejected." A single guy asks a girl for a date, but he doesn't want to be rejected. You've heard how tight the lending market is these days, and you want to apply for a loan, but you fear you might be rejected. Of course, there are more serious forms of rejection, especially rejection from family and friends.

Rejection is a difficult matter for most of us. We long for acceptance. We dread rejection. There are three facts to remember about rejection: 1) Jesus knows how it feels to be rejected! He was despised and rejected by men. He was rejected by His nation. The innkeeper rejected Him. King Herod rejected Him and even tried to kill Him. Jewish leaders rejected Him. His family rejected Him. His friends rejected Him. He continues to be rejected today. 2) Jesus warned you might be rejected for following Him! 3) Remember, Jesus Christ promised never to reject you!

Jesus will absolutely never reject anyone. "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life," John 3:16. My friend, that whoever is you. Some feel unworthy of God, thinking their lives are too messed up. Well, join the crowd. We're all a little messed up, but Jesus accepted me, and He will accept you. Will you accept God's invitation? If you would like to accept God's invitation, pray our prayer, right now...

LET US PRAY: "Father, I really am messed up. Will You forgive me for my sin? I invite Your Son, Jesus, into my heart, and make Him Lord of my life, In Jesus' Name, Amen!"

"Human beings, like plants, grow in the soil of acceptance, not in the atmosphere of rejection.
